University Prerequisite Courses

Are you interested in brushing up on your academic skills?
Get the results you need to further your academic goals by enrolling in the Hubbard's School Certificate IV in Adult Tertiary Preparation (10397NAT). The skill and knowledge you will gain from this course will give you the necessary tools to succeed at tertiary level. As a student you will experience a high-level of support in the completion of your study. The class is conducted by approachable, insightful teachers. You can study one or more subject areas to refresh knowledge and skills or to satisfy university prerequisites. You can also complete the whole program to upgrade a Rank. To receive a Certificate for the whole program, students must complete three core units and six elective units. Students have the responsibility to confirm prerequisite status with the relevant university prior to enrolment.
Persons entering this course must be at least 18 years of age or must turn 18 years of age within 6 months of enrolment in their tertiary course. Admission of applicants under this age will be in exceptional circumstances only and at the discretion of the Principal. Year 10 level of education is an advantage. The Student Handbook will provide you with further course information.
For acceptance into our courses, the following are to be submitted:
- a completed Enrolment Agreement
- tuition fee payment
- photo ID
- USI Number (https://www.usi.gov.au/); and
- LUI Number, for applicants under 25 years.
There are no religious, racial or academic restrictions placed on admission. However, the school reserves the right to withhold entry if it seems likely that the student would not benefit from the education offered at Hubbard’s School.
Students who have not been involved in formal studies in recent years, should have an initial consultation with the Principal and/or teacher, to ascertain whether any formal preparatory units or additional tuition may be necessary prior to the commencement of the course. These may incur additional costs.
