Providing a positive
education experience
Where students can achieve breakthrough success
Hubbard’s School provides a unique alternative to traditional education, offering a specialised learning environment for students completing Year 11 and 12 studies.
In 1952, two esteemed educators Mr. Godfrey Hubbard and Dr. Robert Squire, established a private tutoring academy dedicated to preparing young adults for tertiary education by equipping them for the rigorous Senior External Examinations. This private academy laid the groundwork for establishing a registered school built on a unique model of academic support.
In 2001, Hubbard’s School received formal recognition from the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board, becoming an accredited independent Queensland private school for Year 11 and 12 students. Today, Hubbard’s delivers a compressed curriculum developed by the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA), delivering the traditional two-year Senior Secondary General Subject Syllabus into a single calendar year for each course. Students at Hubbard’s select three subjects per year over two years, and upon completing five General Subjects (or a combination of four General Subjects and one Vocational course), they are eligible to receive both an ATAR and a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).
Over the years, Hubbard’s has expanded to include well-equipped classrooms with modern teaching technology, a student lunchroom and a dedicated study room. The school’s rigorous academic program attracts students from diverse backgrounds. The school provides a supportive and differentiated educational experience for those with alternative learning styles or specific academic needs. Many families choose Hubbard’s for its distinctive approach, which empowers students with the skills and confidence to transition and excel in their tertiary studies.
Hubbard’s School remains a respected choice for students seeking a dynamic and individualised pathway to academic achievement
